Richland County Sheriff’ Darrell Berglin is alerting local citizens that his department is again receiving calls regarding driveway pavement scams. The sheriff said that to avoid problems he suggests that any paving or roofing jobs include a written contract that includes all costs of the project up front. Richland County Sheriff Darrell Berglin reports two individuals were taken into custody as a result of an investigation that began on Sunday July 25, 2010 of criminal damage to property and theft from a motor vehicle located on property in Akan township.
