PRESS RELEASE #6 – Bruce’s Legacy to Assist with Recovery Efforts

Richland Center, WI: The recovery operation continues to locate 5-year-old Angela Girton who fell into the Wisconsin River Monday night. Her body has not been found at this time. The efforts made yesterday by the Madison Police Department cadaver dog team may have determined a possible location of her body. Today, a traveling dive crew known as ‘Bruce’s Legacy’ from Black River Falls, Wisconsin will use sonar equipment to assist in the recovery effort. The Lone Rock Fire Department, Richland County Sheriff’s Department, Richland County Emergency Management, Cazenovia Fire Department, and DNR Wardens continue to search by boat. Additional information will be released as soon as it is made available.
