Fargen Traffic Fatality

A Different Look
Recently, I was asked by a citizen who the new deputy in the neighborhood was, “I’ve never seen them before”, he said. I explained who the new officer was and explained the changes in personnel we have had at the sheriff’s department this past year. Goodbye to Warren Pfeil
Recently my staff and I at the sheriff’s department were saddened to hear about the loss of a great friend to all of us, Warren Pfeil. Warren’s sudden death was a shock and took us all by surprise as we hadn’t heard he was gravely ill. Our loss was compounded by the fact that we not able to one last time, tell Warren personally how much we so appreciated all his wisdom, help and guidance over the many years he was with us. Richland County Sheriff Darrell Berglin is reporting that one of his road patrol deputies, Nicholas E. Losing a Community Father
As a sheriff on rare occasions I hear the term “city father” used by others when they are referring to someone of extreme local importance, be it a government official who has decision authority, or someone else who has a major impact or influence within their community. Titan Finds Student
Local law enforcement officials are praising their K-9 Titan today after Titan located a missing Richland Center High School student late Thursday (yesterday) afternoon.
According to Richland Center Police Chief John Annear a Richland Center High School student reportedly left school property while waiting for his mother to pick him up. After receiving information related to the student school officials became concerned about the students welfare and called the Richland Center Police Department. [Read more…]
