On Tuesday morning (5/12/15) at approximately 6:30am, the Richland County 911 Communications Center received word of a two vehicle crash on St Hwy 80, .2 tenths of a mile south of US Hwy 14 near Wegner Auto Service.
Upon arrival, Deputies discovered a liquid manure tanker truck parked on the west shoulder of the roadway. The truck was pulling a portable manure pump. A Toyota Corolla operated by a male subject from Minnesota had run into the manure pump, causing severe damage to the vehicle.

The operator of the vehicle got out under his own power, and was taken by Richland County EMS to the Richland Hospital. He was then transferred to Gunderson Health Systems in La Crosse where he is listed in good condition.
Assisting the Richland County Sheriff’s Department at the scene were Richland County EMS, Richland Center Fire, Baraboo EMS, and Wegner Towing.
The accident remains under investigation.
