Richland County Sheriff’s authorities are continuing their investigation into a Saturday afternoon traffic crash that claimed the life of Timothy J. McNamer, 36, of Richland Center.
The Richland County Sheriff’s dispatch center received a call of a motorcycle crash off the roadway shortly after 3pm Saturday (June 18) on County Hwy O near County Hwy OO in Richland Township. In addition to sheriff’s deputies a Richland County Ambulance, Richland Center Police Officer and Richland Center Fire units were sent to the crash scene.
McNamer was transported from the scene by Richland County Ambulance to the Richland Hospital where he was later pronounced dead by Richland County Coroner Mary Turner.
According to sheriff’s deputies a preliminary investigation shows that McNamer was operating a 2006 Honda motorcycle southbound on County O when he lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected from the cycle into the east side ditch line. Deputies report that McNamer was not wearing a motorcycle helmet at the time of the crash.
