WHERE Incident Happened: County HWY O at Bluejay LN
What happened: On 4/13/2024 at approximately 3:14pm, Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS responded to the area of County HWY O and Bluejay Ln for the report of a 1 vehicle roll over crash involving injuries. Upon the arrival of emergency services, medical care was provided on scene to two of the three occupants of the vehicle for minor injuries. The third occupant did not appear to sustain any injuries. Through investigation of the crash scene and witness statements, it was found that the operator, Thomas Pettit Jr, was unable to maintain control of the vehicle while attempting to negotiate a curve in the roadway. Pettit Jr was also believed to be under the influence of intoxicants at the time of the crash. After receiving medical care for minor injuries, the vehicle owner, Bartlett, and the third occupant, Ackermann, were released from the scene. The vehicle was removed from the scene by Wegner Auto. Pettit Jr was taken into custody and cited for 1st Offense Operating While Under the Influence.
